Chevalier’s review published on Letterboxd:
It makes sense that most Tarantino fans consider this his "weakest" film. It's not a movie about cartoon cliche "cool" characters spouting nonsensical dialogue while shooting at each other. I give most of the credit here to Elmore Leonard's original novel, and the fantastic cast, but sure, QT certainly keeps things tight. Even his always obnoxious forced movie references are not running, and ruining, the show here, or any stupid over the top antics. Truly a damn fine film, turns out the man can direct a proper film without annoying the shit out of me. Sadly he never made an habit of it.
