Chloe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Honestly - and I know this is sacrilegious - I was kind of ambivalent about the music.
But the atmosphere! The sweat and the swaying; that moment where one lady seemingly becomes possessed by Aretha’s voice. The rough and ready nature of the documentary is very endearing - the crew are often visible, they have to stop for ‘technical difficulties’, the camera is regularly jostled and loses focus. It’s all so lovely and unpolished and human. Great.
