Chloe’s review published on Letterboxd:
An entertaining but unforgivably slight documentary about a total arsehole. Everyone laments that fame made Knievel that way, but we’re barely told what he was like before!
It’s unfathomable to me how Daniel Junge chose to spend almost as much time interviewing marching band members who witnessed the chaos at Snake River Canyon as he does Knievel’s wife of 38 years. You learn more from her face than you do anything else here. I would have happily done away with everyone else and listened to her speak for 90 minutes.
Oh well. I guess it’s fitting that a documentary about Evel Kneivel would favour style over substance.
