  Holy shit, this is the greatest most epic action film I’ve seen in a long time. Absolute perfection on an entertainment level. Like discovering a new color. Jingoism was never this fun! The nationalist tones are questionable, and Olivia Morris character is nothing but a terrible trope, but man.. this is just so fun and entertaining. The brits get owned so hard in a dance-off.

  Absolute wuxia bliss and maybe the greatest ninja movie ever.  I specifically want to point out the amazing sound design and music. Especially the sound of swords being unsheathed and clashing is absolutely perfect. There are some deeper themes such as the relationship between Japan and China, or how ideologies based on honor can obliterate the personal identity, and ultimately ones life. A true masterpiece of the genre.
