not AS cringe as i expected it to be, glad Lana Wachowski got her fat check and said an indirect "fuck you" to the studio. trinity is a mommy and a milf.

I really really liked this one! Fun, gory, didn't even feel that out of touch and cringe like it usually happens when older people try to make #relatable movies about the Internet and social media. I can kinda see why some kids on Tiktok believe it's real life footage (omg I'd actually pay to watch Frankie Grande m*rdered irl.. anyways).
Overall, a fun watch! A more realistic version of The Joker tbh. Kurt Kinkle is my bias :3c

this one is INSANE (affectionate). I've always perceived pregnancy as one of the worst examples of body horror, and whaddaya know! Julia Ducournau knew exactly what I needed to get my nerves tickled. Wow.
I really want to write a bigger more thorough review but my mind is all over the place and thoughts are scattered. All I'm going to say is I can't wait for Julia's next film.

We're All Going to the World's Fair

Finally! Got a chance to see this one on big screen! And... I honestly don't know. I've been so weirdly hyped about it, and... got what I wanted but at the same time didn't? It's weird. Not scary enough maybe. Feels like so much more could be done about it, more inventive ways to explore the theme of internet horror. Anyways it's a very intriguing and promising debut, can't wait to see what Jane Schoenbrun does next.

We Need to Talk About Kevin

Have been putting off watching this one for a decade. For some reason didn't feel particularly moved. Maybe it's the desensitization? I don't know, but I certainly expected to feel more after watching this.

That being said, little Kevin and the bitterness of Tilda's character after she's forced to abandon her dreams for the sake of the "family" and move to the suburbia certainly awakened the strong desire to never have children. That must be something, right?

    The bow thing…

I've been putting off watching this film for so many years without any specific reason. Tonight was the night I decided that it's time. Wasn't disappointed, but definitely needed some more scenes involving Cenobites and their intricate tortures, because wow... the character design! Even nowadays you would rarely see something so outlandish in horror cinema. The only similar artist that comes to mind is Robert Morgan and his claymation.
Overall, great film. Wish I watched in Full HD and not a grainy web player version though, because it stripped the film of some of its charm.

while being cute aesthetically, this film doesn't bring anything new to the table, and it's ok, that isn't necessary. the goals it set in the beginning were met — creepy old woman turned out to be evil, no happy end, mutilated Lena Dunham in a wooden box (????)... well i kinda wanted there to be a wicked twist, cannot lie.
although the theme of the poisonous fungi set in the beginning didn't really have an explanation in the end, and…

it's camp. Shyamalan gives absolutely NO fucks about what kind of movie he makes. had a good laugh with my friends at the cinema, 100% recommend if u have someone to go see it with

    The Scary of Sixty-First

my God it's bad. as someone with so many connections in the artsy fartsy world, Dasha Nekrasova could actually use them to make this mess better (and actually have like.. a plot)
miss girl wanted to make her own private Suspiria but failed miserably — the only good actor in this was Anna Khachiyan playing Ghislaine for 3 seconds. god i'm angry i wasted an hour and 20 mins on this. even if she wanted to make it camp she only succeeded at creating cringe. ew

rewatched it yesterday for like the fourth time and fell asleep during the last third of the film, not because it's boring but because i was tired. great movie, Lynch is a genius, and there even are black people in this (a rarity for Lynch)

Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

Yeah, well... I couldn't find time for this movie since what? 2014? Really? That was a long time ago, jeez. I also never read anything about it, only saw snapshots here and there.
And now I finally did watch it and it turned out to be a movie about Hollywood actors and how they're fading into oblivion. No wonder it won "Best Picture" in 2015 because the jury probably thought it was oh-so-relatable.
Through all those years I thought this…
