This was actually my first exposure to Jackass back in the day so this movie holds a special place in my heart. The stunts that do land are so good my god even if the ratio is just a little bit off
Also wow don't look now but that sizzle reel during the credits got me crying in the club 😭
Probably the platonic ideal of a Fast movie, if you had to assign it. It's almost a perfect mixture of Chris Morgan finally hitting on those sentimental beats and cementing the later films' dedication to keeping the whole family dynamic going and Justin Lin's instincts for fast-paced, kinetic action scenes both in and out of cars. Kinda a one step forward, two steps back situation BUT you can tell Tyrese and Ludacris are having a whale of a time, thus cementing their fate of being a top-tier comedic duo for the next few movies and next...decade-ish? Maybe that's an indictment of movies in general moving away from the R2D2/C-3P0 dynamic. Also the N02 effect rules
