Remember when Observe and Report came out after Paul Blart Mall Cop lol

I never gave up on the Predator franchise, and today… I was rewarded.

This movie is a slam dunk! Haha

This had some of my favorite action sequences I’ve seen in a theatre in YEARS. Shades of THE REVENANT. 

I read that this is the first time Eggers didn’t have final cut — I hate to think that’s due to the commercialization of his films, but this had the perfect amount of Eggers’ touch for me. In other words, there wasn’t enough weird stuff in there to prevent me from recommending it to people! Surprisingly! Can’t say that about THE LIGHTHOUSE. 

So, yeah, I consider this a win (regardless of what the box office says).

a beautiful film; one that rewards rewatches

Same thing that happened to me the last time I saw a Jackass movie: 

i cried TEARS. OF. JOY.

Best acting I’ve seen in a sports movie in a longgg time (all around, not just Will Smith). 

Felt like an honest peek into the Williams’ family dynamics (S/O to Brandi Williams for calling Richard on his sh!t! She’s a REAL ONE).

Instant mob movie!

Just add:
-Group conversations 
-Guys touching each other’s faces
-People getting killed 
-Guys treating their wives/gf’s like shit

Not going to rate this because I only watched 15 minutes. Sad, really…

This is one of those movies that, if you really buckle up and let it take you, can be so affecting it’s almost startling? I got lost in the experience a few times and had my breath taken away.

Only reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it fuckin rattled me and made me feel super claustrophobic a few times, and it might take a WHILE before I sign up for a rewatch. Other than that, well done 5 stars!!!

I was incredibly hungover on Sunday morning. I watched this and it helped a lot.

Hell of a soundtrack, the comedy has aged shockingly well and it’s just overall a damn good time.

Also low key ranks just behind THE REVENANT for best bear scene, IMO.

When I say I had no idea what was going on in this movie, I mean I had NOOOO IDEEEEEA! what was going on in this movie. 

All of the sets looked sooo… not lived in? The score almost put me to sleep. They got a great cast though, I’ll give em that.

And I’m no cinematographer, but why does this lens or however this was shot make me nauseous? No more of that, please.
