Kris FT’s review published on Letterboxd:
This could only be a Spike Lee film. Only he could craft such a in-your-face political picture to parallel and foreshadow modern day racism. At the same time, harshly reminds us how nothing has changed.
The Oscar-winning script is the lifeblood of the movie. BlackKklansman is sharply and shrewdly written. It makes you laugh, it makes you angry, and it makes you uneasy in some parts (by design).
John David Washington shined in this Spike Lee Joint, followed by great supporting performances by Laura Harrier and Adam Driver.
NOTE: The scene where it contrasts the two meetings, featuring Harry Belafonte, is POWERFUL.
