    Logan

    ★★★★½

Logan is WONDERFUL. Such a powerful cultivation of everything Jackman and Stewart have been working towards for close to 20 years. This film, in a way, rewards you for sticking with this franchise for so long and leaves you with one of the most satisfying conclusions to a franchise/character I've ever seen. Absolutely stunned!

Got the opportunity to see this one at the 53rd New York Film Festival. Don Cheadle's directorial debut is an impressive one. Both in it's style and story structure. It could have been so easy to make this a typical musical biopic we've seen time and time again, but Cheadle focuses on specific point in Miles's life that helps hone in the focus. The way in which it shifts from past to present so abruptly feels rather jarring from time…
