This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This movie is beautifully haunting and a wonderful allegory for the sense of the “other” and what government discerns is allowed to exist or just be as is. The romanticism is interesting and delightful, awkward and poignant. The film evokes a feeling of being an outsider as what truly brings us together. I love the use of music, movies, and art as a centric connection for these people as well!

P.S. *Semi-spoiler* I only had one problem with this film…

    Daddy's Home 2

This was just as fun as the first but a little more cheesey for me this go round. Some parts were definitely hilarious and entertaining but some parts just didn’t work enough for me to feel it was better than the first. I may have to revisit the first one to be 100% sure.

Great Gerwig definitely didn’t disappoint me in watching this seemingly semi-autobiographical film about growing up in Sacramento and dealing with the end of high school and trying to get into college in 2002.

    Blade Runner 2049

An absolutely brilliant sequel that respects so much of the original while also trying to stand on its own right which I believe it does tremendously. I have minor setbacks on a couple things, but for the general continuity and ideals that the films share make it that much more. The music and cinematography really set this film apart from recent things I’ve seen over the last year and if they don’t get Oscar nods, the Academy is insane.

9/10, extra 0.5 for that cinematography!
