An interesting "pro-troops, anti war film". Most people see it as a blatant pro-war propaganda while deep down it deconstructs the glory of war as something that destroys the family and lives of peoples who are in war. Physically and psychologically.

This film is without doubt one of the most original and influential sci-fi films (or dare i say film) of all time. The combination of several genre and film style such as horror and film noir within a sci-fi film with a pinch of baroque art creates a visual that is easy to be admired and remembered.
