I was 9 when this came out. I hadn't even seen Terminator and I was desperate to see this. There was no way I could sneak into the cinema to see this. I was so jealous of my sister getting to see this. Even the toys looked ace.
I can't remember when I actually saw this film in the end. I can't remember if I'd seen the original by then. What I do know is that it was an instant classic to me and a film I will always enjoy watching. Whichever version I put on.
The T-1000 was a fine addition to the world of Terminator. Such an absurd idea yet played out with such aplomb and confidence it works brilliantly.
Once again, the effects stand the test of time. Mostly.

Incidentally, what happened to the arm "Uncle Bob" lost in the cog?
Also, Rise of the Machines created something of a problem. Why doesn't the battery explode when he's lowered into the molten steel at the end?
