Okay. So when I first finished this my reaction was basically: "What in the hell did I just witness?" Then after just sitting there looking at a wall for about 5 minutes and realizing how bat shit crazy this film was I thought to myself, "Wow there was so much going on in this film, my next viewing will probably be awesome because i'll see so many new things."
It's crazy to think that both of the David Lynch movies I've seen have left me completely speechless. Eraserhead a little more than this, but still. The two and a half hour run time flew by so fast. It's been a while since I was this wide eyed and focused on a movie because there was just SO much going on and SO much to think about.
Basically I'm not one hundred percent sure what my opinion on this film is yet. I don't think anyone can be after one viewing. I can say that i'm genuinely excited to return to it in the future. I can almost guarantee after a few more watches this will be a five star film in my books.
