A miniseries that’s very near and dear to my heart since I was 6 when it came out in 2002. It’s actually become a source of comfort. I remember being with my parents when they bought this DVD at Circuit City and how excited I was to watch it when we got home, staring at the cover. I’ve watched this countless times and I’m still entranced by its ghostly magic. After being so influenced by Rose Red, as a child…

Hereditary 2018
Cruel. Unnerving. Devastating.
I’ve always said Exorcist 3 is the all-time scariest film I’ve ever seen. Hereditary now takes second place (pushing the Conjuring to third). I am a life-long huge horror fan and Hereditary had me covering my face peeking through my fingers constantly like I was a little kid all over again. My whole body felt like a clenched closed fist for most of the movie. That’s how intense and relentless this is. It has no mercy for…

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers 2022

Two feelings I’ve never felt so strongly for towards a movie thus far in my lifetime.
Few years later on my second viewing I have a much better appreciation and respect for the Witch. Dark, forboding,…

Malignant 2021
What a damn twisted ride! James Wan went a completely different direction with this than ALL his past work. I appreciate his craft and willingness to go no holds barred on a concept absolutely INSANE. 70s giallo elements mixed with 80s weirdo camp horror brought right into 2021 with a fresh coat of paint. Because of its oddball nature, I predict this will be HEAVILY MIXED in audience/critic reception - especially with the way it was marketed which doesn't capture…
