Birthday Movie Month, 2021.
This would make a great double feature along with See You Yesterday.
I liked the time loop element being used as a pessimistic metaphor on the inevitability of white supremacy. I do wish they had found a way to portray their thesis on screen instead of literally saying it out loud for us to ‘get it.’ You know, just like Stefon Bristol did in See You Yesterday, where it wasn’t until the last few scenes that you went “ohh... so that’s how it is.”
Still, it was pretty neat.
