I loved Michelangelo Antonioni's La Notte. It's an incredibly beautiful and atmospheric film. The story is about a married couple, played by Marcello Mastroianni and Jeanne Moreau, who believe their love has waned. They discover through flirtations with others at a party and then a death of a shared friend that their love is actually stronger than they realized.
The film has a memorable scene that involves a woman who dances with a glass full of wine on her forehead in a jazz club. It's bizarre and mesmerizing.
