Subverted expectations throughout, which was a nice surprise.

My admiration for Taylor-Joy and Cooke continues to grow, I think both have great careers ahead. Anton Yelchin, bless him, is really fun and does a lot with the screentime he's given.

Cory Finley's direction is stylish and I bought into the world of privilege as presented in the film, but there are certain scenes that feel off in some way. I think it came down to certain moments of scenes not feeling necessary to the narrative which is an issue for a 92min film.

It's a good debut with really fun performances and stylish direction.

Are we at a point of no hope?

Are those of us who retain hope for the world, stuck in a delusion?

Are those of us who recognize the hopelessness of our eternal struggle against disinterest and corporate interest delusional about our chances of success?

    Is there reason to hope?

    Is there purpose in despair?

Are hope and despair mixed together in a cocktail of alcohol and pepto?

    I don't know.

But I do know that my entire body shook throughout. Not only my hands.

The film is fantastic and Ethan Hawke is consistently one of the most underrated actors working today.

Wonderful debut from Greta Gerwig with a strong ensemble cast.

    Ronan and Metcalf are great!

When the credits rolled, a woman who had been dragged to the film presumably by her husband and son just proclaimed "sick, sick, sick. Just disgusting. I want my money back" the two she came with laughed. And so did I.

Also Toni Collette is completely brilliant, but I'm super late to the party.
