Spider-Man: Far from Home ★★★½

I picked an interesting day to see this movie.

This movie was a lot of fun from start to finish.

Jake Gyllenhaal/Mysterio was easily the best part of the whole thing. Those illusion scenes were actually amazing and I wish we got more of them.

Here are some of my gripes:

While Mj becomes a bigger and more important part of this movie, she still has no character whatsoever.

A lot of the script is filled with expository dialogue and moments where characters  literally tell the audience what they want.

Also, the whole thing about Peter not feeling ready or good enough to fill the shoes of Tony feels more forced than it should have.

It could’ve worked but it’s thrown in your face every five minutes like I get it my dude.

Overall this was pretty good and funnier then I anticipated but with the recent news about spidey it seems like this movie is kind of pointless.
