The first Sartana film, and while primary series director Carnimeo isn't present yet, star Gianni Garko knocks it out of the park with his menacing, enigmatic take on Sartana. Sartana is just always the coolest guy in the room - even facing off against killers played by William Berger and Klaus Kinski, you never see him sweat or even look worried. Indeed, a lot of the emotion in the film is left to Berger, playing the villainous Lasky with gusto. Even though he's clever as hell and a total bastard, you almost have to feel bad for the poor sonnuvabitch, going up against Sartana.
