CinemaCollector’s review published on Letterboxd:
SPOILERS: Mulholland Drive is about broken dreams in the city of dreams, Los Angeles. One long dream that kept getting interrupted as Diane’s mind tries to break free from this false reality. High expectations of dreams and Hollywood. Failed as an actress and as a lover. Can’t get more exhausting than that. The tension was unreal. Can’t help but think Rita was Diane’s neighbor that fell in love with each other as to why Rita and the neighbor looked very similar. Seeing Billy Ray Cyrus was trippy in itself since I would never expect to see Billy in such a high regard of a movie.
I hope my death isn’t nearly as intense as this. Silencio.
