possibly in michigan is a film i have little to no recollection discovering. all i recall is happening upon this 12 minute short film and being utterly transfixed. michigan, in terms of the story, feels a few years ahead of its time. the disturbing underlying theme of the story - a woman is being stalked in a mall by a masked man - is disguised in a sing-songy, childish way therefore making it all the more unsettling. pairing that with the low quality of the film and its dream-like visuals make this film a disturbing but somehow trance inducing experience like none other i've seen. it definitely is worthy of another watch and if you are looking for 80's rarities, short films, or an interesting watch, possibly in michigan is great for that.
