Critic Joshua Ray is covering the 2021 Nashville Film Festival for CSL. Today he spotlights three international narrative features: Window Boy Would Also Like a Submarine, The Tale of King Crab, and Green Sea:

"Like Tsai Ming-Liang in his recently released film Days, Piperno's Window Boy finds the humility in yearning, the ache in loneliness, and the futility of brief encounters. [...] This hypnotic modern fable has softly made pronouncements that are nevertheless blunt, exposing a simplistic worldview that could use the complexity of the cinematic prowess displayed on the screen."
