Ryan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Undoubtedly Murphy's best performance in a LONG time. He's a great Rudy Ray Moore and injects this movie with energy from start to finish. Wesley Snipes is brilliant as D'Urville Martin.
I just think the film languishes in poor writing that holds it back despite everything Murphy does. It's a tried and true formula, so it's not a negative, but it's a very average plot with some admittedly poor dialogue.
