Ryan Beaupit’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film flirts so intimately with a David Lean epic, peeling back layer and layer to its gorgeous cinematography and grand scope. But at the heart of the matter, the story is far too complex and condensed to truly achieve that compliment. I think this would have been a fantastic mini series (as I don't think two films would have been a viable option). Hunnam and Pattinson are serviceable. Sienna Miller steals the film, though, in my opinion.
