Chloe Doumanis’s review published on Letterboxd:
Damn. I was really disappointed with this entry. Being an adaptation of the short story which shares the same name, I was very excited to see this episode. But alas it failed to live up to the expectation.
The vast, dry world is so very interesting and yet never explored. And we know that the protagonist misses earth and yet it remains underdeveloped. Bounty hunters are trying to hunt him down. His immortality causes him to distance himself from others. And then there’s Hirald, another confusing element.
The problem here is time. This episode takes on wayyyyyyy too many stories and doesn’t take the time to explore any of them. They’re left mentioned and severely underdeveloped. I couldn’t connect to the characters because they’re entire relationship was rushed and based on a small mutual understanding they have.
