    The Lobster

The suspense is well-crafted (especially in the scene where David escapes the heartless woman and tranquilizes her to be transformed into an animal unbeknownst to the audience), the score of glistening piano keys and haunting, tense violin riffs really help accentuate the suspense. Also has one of Farrell’s best performances to date. Even with the audacious, bizarre concept, The Lobster does a surprisingly good job of exploring themes such as loneliness, societal pressure, sexual desire, and suppressing emotions.

    The Florida Project

Love the warm, colorful aesthetic of Florida shown in this film, from the lavender motel building to the various stores shown. It accurately portrays the chaotic, messy, fun phase of childhood, as well as the loss of the innocence that comes with it.

The performances from Dafoe, Prince, and Vinaite are all great. The mother-daughter bond between these characters is incredibly heartwarming and realistically portrays single parenting. And that ending is just heartbreaking.

Overall, it's such an endearing experience.

I've finally seen this. And it's honestly atrocious.

THIS is the film that so many audiences and critics salivated over???? THIS is the film that so many people think deserves to win Best Picture??? There's nothing here that justifies the massive acclaim that this film received.

The acting in this film ranges from mediocre to outright awful. Lucy Boynton gives the only good performance here. Rami Malek is absolutely horrible as Mercury. From to the distractingly ugly fake teeth he's…
