Happy Old Year ★★★★½

Horrible film review alert!

I didn’t know I signed up for a drama, as I stumbled upon a very random film recommendation.

This film is like an onion: literally made me cry as each layer was peeled. (I know peeling an onion won’t make you cry, but I wanted to be poetic. Anyway, I have so many thoughts on this film. So maaaannnyyyy.)

For something technical and un-onion-y: Niramon Ross’ cinematography was gentle, all too natural, and quite...appropriately minimal. Stellar acting by a great cast, too (props to Chutimon, who played Jean, most especially). Lovely, lovely work, you guys. *cries in a corner*
