Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Ghostbusters: Afterlife ★★½

A mostly charming and effective piece of fan fiction. Mckenna Grace is really great as the lead, nailing the intrigue and dry humor. Logan Kim is fun, too. After an entertaining first 90 minutes, the final 20 minutes is rushed, drops much of the humor and suspense for CGI inanity and, well, just mails in bullshit sentimental fan service. It's at its best when the characters are able to converse - there's actually a lot of fun scenes without the ghosts.

Obviously we should have many more Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd pairings. No ghosts needed.
