Monster fascinated me now for over more than six months with its incredible complex storyline which I have never seen more clever in the crime genre. Sure, it has a lot more time compared to a True Detective, but it still manages to convince even with its many many of side characters who all play their small part in a big mystery. And not only that it also has probably the most compact villain ever. I’ve never seen such a…

Truly another Definition of an Epos.

Ridley Scott after Gladiator gladly did another masterwork which I haven’t seen in a while whereas it was absolutely stunning to forget some things about to rewatch it now with the monumental Directors Cut of 190 minutes again.

I showed it also to some friends and my brother who haven’t seen it and were also more than flashed. It makes me more fun meanwhile when In Showing other people films I’ve loved than watching…

A film Noir from grandmaster Kurosawa himself? Count me in!

I wished that Wong kar wais fallen angels would have these story. Because his visuals combined with kurosawas unbelievable storytelling would have give an even greater film than stray dog is.

Nevertheless this was simply awesome for me. Even yet one of my favorite shimura roles and the chemistry with Mifune my normally more beloved actor was simply stunning to see. A perfect cop team up which totally let me…

I’m truly glad Zack Snyder did such a masterwork out of this premise. Truly some of the rare examples of a film which is made for remaking.

I loved the sets and shields but the helmets effects and fight choreographies couldn’t be more out of time.

Yesterday’s and first rewatch of 2001:

    An experimental watch..
Ever felt like in LLL when gosling and stone waltzing through the universe ? I haven’t since yesterday. After watching the first 19 minutes which I really love but more later I had the idea to dance the blue Danube waltz with my girlfriend while it’s played at the film. Said and done. And what an experience. Yes clear you don’t get…

I don’t know who cried more, the old woman beside me or me.

One of the best if not the best documentary  I’ve ever watched. And not only because of Ennio. I mean Tornatore did here just magnificent. I’ve never seen a more detailed documentary about someone’s life. It has everything. Even as a morricone die hard Fan I’ve learned so many new things. I don’t know how Ennio could have done all this in his life. And I…
