The Space Between ★★

I can't Recall a film so desperate to be included in the pantheon of quirky family indie films that it lifts beats wholesale from the likes of Little Miss Sunshine, Sunshine Cleaning and Juno. It's very shameless in its stylistic theft all while never forming a personality of its own, and I just feel bad for director Amy Jo Johnson. This airless comedy (I think?) is so devoid of anything to hold your attention it just sits in its own limp attempts at twee quirkiness.
