Cocohorse’s review published on Letterboxd:
This would've been pretty goddamn boring if it was a straight couple. There's something so electric in the love between the two female leads, especially given their situations and the time period. I appreciate the screenwriters for not making the other characters too overly homophobic to the point that Therese and Carol wouldn't be able to end up safely together as they should be. Man, their relationship is so well-developed. It's so genuinely passionate and loving and intimate, and I'm glad to have viewed it all.
