To Be honest, I didn’t really understand this movie… But there is something about it which made it an mesmerizing watch. Hopefully I grasp the meaning on a second watch. Although It probably will be a while before I watch Stalker again. This movie needs to sit with you, I will give it some time. It almost unfair to give it a rating at this point (but I do love to rate stuff so).
Besides the whole point of the movie I loved the cinematography, the switch between the sepia and color palate was striking. The floating camera was just stunning to behold. Yes, Its long, and takes an glacial pace which, on some points, can be a bit frustrating. It will give you all the time to absorb the movie and really think about it, which I appreciate
In the end I really admire this movie, there is a lot to love. But its also a long and somewhat frustrating ride. There is a lot to unpack, but it can be difficult to figure out exactly what the point is.
I’ll definitely revisit this movie
