Abysmal. I haven't seen a movie this bizzare in a very long time. The soundtrack also features the worst original song of all time.
Biggest take away here: Dennis Hopper needed a better agent.
This film would have benefited from a structural overhaul in the edit. Racer and the Jailbird makes the mistake of splitting the film into two wildly different chapters with conflicting tones. The first half is a fantastic heist movie with the back end serving as a depression inducing French drama that does nothing but sour the experience of the audience.
