The Irishman is Martin Scorsese’s retrospective response to all of his other mafia movies. Goodfellas and Casino didn’t necessarily glorify the lives of gangsters, but neither of them make it seem as grim as it does in this film.
Seeing Pesci, Pacino and De Niro share the screen is as exhilarating as any Marvel hero team-up. See what I did there? Also, try your hardest to see this in a theater. I just dont see people committing to a 3 1/2 hour movie in their living room.
