Jojo Rabbit

Jojo Rabbit ★★★★

Jojo Rabbit has a gentle soul. It’s forced to ponder sociology and confront war when all it really wants to do is dance.

Taika is masterful at framing a characters simplest and most instinctual desires, just to expose the damage that their nature can cause. Jojo Rabbit isn’t about the covert development of a fascist ideology. It’s about a 10 year old boy, who self-identifies as a nazi, learning to see beyond himself. It’s fun, heartbreaking, and pure as hell.
