was it really necessary to let two dudes named drew make hotel movies in 2018?
i keep coming back to this because i love the music and actors so much. the cinematography is also straight up insanely gorgeous. it makes perfect sense now that i found out it's the same dude who did atonement.
the first time i kinda thought the vietnam scene was a little too clever but i can't help but admire the commitment to its production value, especially for such a short scene thrown in at the very end. i'd love to have heard goddard's pitch to the studio for that.
the mixing of old spider-man nostalgia with newer more interesting characters was perfectly done and only heightened by some of the best 2D/3D seamlessly meshed animation my boggled eyes have ever seen.
this is the purest comic book movie.
voice actors slayed it.
