combining the vast, endless terror of space with the abstraction of hell and damnation is actually genius. paul w.s. anderson one of my very favorite madmen. the hell scenes and the blood orgy tape absolutely petrifying. the rest is just set dressing for those wildly unnerving bits.

Tenebre 1982
dario argento putting out a casting call for the cuntiest looking people of all time, degree-holding graduates from the school of servery. some incredible shots in here, with a genuinely well-paced mystery under all of those stylistic frills. but you know i’m a sucker for any films with busty perceived-perverts draped in sheets splattered with salmon-colored paint.
