Colin the dude’s review published on Letterboxd:
1. It's pretty metal on its own that one actor got to work with Jim Henson, Dario Argento, and Sergio Leone, but Jennifer Connelly did it before the age of 16.
2. You've really got to hand it to Henson. Inspired an entire generation by stewing the perfect balance of mystery, discovery, possibility, whimsy, and a healthy dose of anxiety. It is such a fine line to walk; instilling fear without trauma (although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't traumatized by The Dark Crystal as a kid) And this doesn't even begin to praise the eye-popping attention to production detail and puppet innovation.
3. Bowie has the richest film credits of any musician-turned-actor. If you were to invent in your head the hippest filmography for a musician-turned-actor, it still wouldn't be as hip as his run. I could easily be wrong but is this his only feature film where he also sings? I miss Bowie.
