As a better-tech FIFTH ELEMENT do-over this sort of works. It's very dopey, frequently gorgeous, and not particularly exciting. But Besson is no Bava, DeHaan is no John Phillip Law, and this is far from the DIABOLIK IN SPACE the source material is begging for.
