Dune: Part Two 2024
After watching the ugly M. Night Shaymalan Avatar movie and Netflix show, it is refreshing to see a live-action project made with Passion and BEAUTY.
Shout-out to my friend for paying for my ticket so that I could see it again! His first time seeing it; he enjoyed it but definitely not as much as I did.

The Last Airbender 2010
My second least favorite movie of all time. A trainwreck that you somehow cannot look away from, yet it is boring at the same time. Even if M. Night makes a good movie again, he will never redeem himself in my eyes due to making this insultingly inaccurate adaptation. The only good thing about this movie is the score from James Newton Howard. I only rewatched this for my podcast. ZERO OUT OF TEN.

Bad Education 2019

This has been one of my most anticipated films ever since I read the plot summary and saw this: cdn.cnn.com/cnnnext/dam/assets/200420114643-bad-education-hbo-super-tease.jpg
I enjoyed Cory Finley's debut Thoroughbreds, which was darkly humorous so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that this movie was both laugh-out-loud hilarious and surprisingly dark at times. It has great acting, writing, camera framing, and editing. I wish I could've seen this at TIFF (also I wish I could've been at TIFF period). This is a great film and another one of the many wins for HBO.
