    Inspired by Patrick Willems’ video, I’m going to come out as someone who thinks Batman & Robin is underrated. Still definitely not a GOOD movie, but it’s creative and fun and aware of how ridiculous it is. It’s a neon-saturated Adam West Batman. Gonna avoid rating it because I haven’t actually watched it in at least a decade and I don’t want to overcommit to being a B&R apologist, but based on memory I’ll tentatively say Two ½  to Three Stars ie “Much more entertaining than BvS or Suicide Squad”

    I usually the hate the “The book is better than the movie” guy, but I just read the book before watching this and I don’t think the movie captured the important parts of the book well at all, nor was it particularly interesting in its own right.

    First half or so: Pretty good character development seeing how everyone deals with the Snappening, losing hope, gaining hope, thinking about past loved ones. Got to see a new side to several of characters. There’s actually next to no action for most of the movie, which is definitely unusual for Marvel and they used a lot of this space well.
