Thor: The Dark World

Thor: The Dark World ★★½

As I watched, I wondered why this particular entry in the MCU is so widely poo-pooed. In the moment I found it interesting and unique, and I appreciated the attempts at genuine wonder, such as when the kids led Natalie Portman’s character to see the strange wormholes in the abandoned warehouse. There were some good moments like that throughout.

But then, the next day, I had practically forgotten everything. Nothing stuck with me except that overall, it’s boring. The characters are boring, the supposedly emotional moments are boring, the villain is VERY boring. As they say, there’s no “there” there.
