...that never came. These aren't the same characters that we've grown to love, nor are they in the same world that we've come to slowly understand and appreciate. This film does a great job of characterizing Kaworu, only to rob Shinji of the defining moment ending their relationship. Mildly looking forward to Mad Max: Evangelion in Rebuild 4.0 just out of curiosity, but I'm honestly not sure that I know who these characters are anymore.
