Bro, can you even name 3 Christopher Nolan Kino's?
Glorious, campy, rock opera insanity. One of the most wholly unique films I've ever had the privilege of viewing.
I've considered De Palma a genius ever since I saw Blow Out but this mashup of Faust, Phantom of the Opera, and glam-rock Rocky Horror is something else entirely. I could rewatch this at least once a week. Goddamn this is an all-timer.
Criterion Challenge 2021: Week 40 - A Film Between Spine #100-200
I put this one off for a long time because I honestly thought I'd already seen it given that I've seen just about every Carey Grant film at this point.
One of the greatest thrillers of all time that excels not only in tension but also in romance. Grant, Bergman and Rains together are stunning. The final 20 minutes are some of the most edge of my seat cinema I've seen in a while. Restrained yet effective like so much of Hitchcock's work.
