Connor May’s review published on Letterboxd:
Despite some shady narrative beats that left me feeling irritably disconnected, The Wailing hits so hard - even second time round. Sound mix is slightly all over the shop, but the foundations are solid giving the feature enough punch to send a chill through to your soul. The film is layered by a labyrinth of mystery, justifying its run time. Just WHY include that weird single undead sequence mid-way through? It didn’t sit well in the mix at all. Overall, a more-than decent slosh.
