Clint asked Sergio Leone to direct it and he passed it up so they tried their best to make due without him and distill what everyone loved about the dollars trilogy. It falls very short of that. Don’t understand how Rotten tomatoes gave it some masterpiece score
It’s still a solid contender for a hangout movie where you’re just drinking beers by yourself on a Friday night, but it lacked all of the tension and atmosphere that make the dollars movies epic.
