Corbin Bishop’s review published on Letterboxd:
The start of this film slapped me in the face and knocked me over. I had no idea what this was about so when the first serious incident happened it REALLY changed the tone. Very effective.
I’d say this film has a huge impact once it’s over. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to watch. Some really uncomfortable scenes and performances in this one. But it has a purpose.
Natalie Portman knocked me off my feet. It took me a bit to get used to her and her character. She did well enough that I saw her as Celeste and not Natalie Portman. Very impressed.
Selling my soul to the devil for pop stardom.
