Not a stuntman.
Startlingly intimate and filled with tension. But a tension full of empathy and compassion.
It brought up memories of my youth that I don’t think about often.
This may be a strange comparison, but the intimate tension reminded me of Gaspar Noe, but from the healthier point of view of wanting to address emotion, reality, accountability, nature, understanding. (Despite his skill, Noe is shit).
It also reminded me of this quote from Ursula K LeGuin: “The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty: not knowing what comes next.”
Cannot wait for Jackson’s feature debut.
