Good Time

Good Time ★★★★

It’s the classic stress inducing safdie brothers with a little more colour.

Good Time sees a mentally challenge man and his manipulative brother on the run after a bank robbery.

The story is really good, it takes so many crazy left turns that if you skip 10 minutes ahead you’d be so confused as to where you are and what has happened. There’s so many random story beats that come out of no where and because of that the film is so incredibly engaging with its story. The visual style of the film is so cool, I really love the choice of costume and the natural light sources as they both combine to saturate a shot. Robert Pattinson is obviously so great here in his performance and also Benny Safdie was a real surprise with his.

Overall it’s a super entertaining ride but doesn’t quite give you the same panic attack feeling of Uncut Gems.
