Corey Kitchen’s review published on Letterboxd:
I forgot how awesome this was.
This used to be my favourite movie as a child and upon rewatching it now I can see why. The story is compelling where it needs to and almost creates a coming of age character arc, the soundtrack is gorgeous with peaceful and harmonic Chinese tradition and the cinematography is truely epic in some moments, there are so many shots that can be framed and put on a wall.
Not to mention there are some epic fight sequenceses. The animation is surprisingly good for 2008 and still holds up.
